The Girls on Vacation

Here are some pictures from the vacation that Mom went on with the girls. I'm assuming this is is Deb, Mom, and Sheila's feet.Here they were eating somewhere. After looking at the other pictures from this restaurant..I'm assuming they had a little too much sun..beverages..and fun!

> 3 Weeks

Holy crap! I can NOT believe the wedding is less than three weeks away! And the weeks only seem to get crazier!

Friday was Olney's prom and Kristen and Blake were adorable, as usual! Kristen's dress was just beautiful..and she looked amazing of course!All my aunts & uncles on the Cummins side got Rylan and I a rock for our landscaping and some more chairs for our patio set. Now all we need is a grill and an umbrella and the deck will be perfect for entertaining!!
Saturday, Erin, Rachel, and I went to Berryville Vinyards to do some wine tasting. I've never been there before, but I love it! It's in the middle of no where..with a cute little shack and pond. We're gonna try to go there in the summer for a picnic and make a day of it. Then they have a huge Festival in the Fall where they release their new wines for the year and have a bunch of games and such for everyone, including children, to play! I can't wait!! It's a great place to take pictures too! Check out our photography blog for some cool shots I took!

Oh The Joys Of What Is To Come

Mom texted me this morning at 8:20 to inform me, "We made it to Florida! Let the fun begin!" I told her that I wanted to vomit on her! Then I got to thinking that someone else will probably do that for me this week..maybe not directly on mom...but surely they will on the beach! My guess would be my Aunt Lisa or Aunt Sheila! HA! Oh the stories they'll come back with..can't wait to hear 'em..let me tell ya!

Two words for you...ONE MONTH! Actually a day shy of a month..but how crazy is that! Things are really progressing with the wedding..the house however still needs some work. I just haven't had time to put things away and get everything organized the way I'd like for them to be.

Oh! Mom and I walked 7 miles Wednesday night. We stopped by Bill & Deb's for a glass of water and finished our walk. It felt great to walk that far..the most we've done so far is 6 and that's just to Mimi's and back..and of course we stop for about 30 minutes at her house so cool off. This past week I have walked a total of 24.5 miles. And I have lost a total of 17 pounds. Mom has lost like 24 or something..I don't know her exact number..and I sure don't wanna contact her because I'm sure they're on the beach right now!

Doesn't appear that I will get much wedding and house stuff done this weekend with how crazy it is looking! Saturday morning I have my first 5K..I'm probably walking it since my shin's are giving me fits and all. But I'm excited anyways! It's for a GREAT cause too! Rylan has the Trust Bank Garden Show all day that he has to take plants to sell at. Saturday night we are supposed to eat supper with Brock & Amanda Tarr. Sunday afternoon I have a baby shower for Sarah Horner to go to. And again..no time to do anything but be here, there, and everywhere. I'm definitely ready for things to slow down!!

An Eventful Week

Sam was over with her dog, Bryant, this weekend searching for Mushrooms. Bryant somehow managed to chase Stealy Dan up the tree and mom and Samantha thought it was a Kodak...more like a Nikon Moment..so they snapped a few pictures of Stealy in the tree. Funny Stuff!!
I was informed earlier this week that the kids at school have finally figured out who I am engaged to. I always talk about Rylan..and the juniors and seniors remember Mr. Rusk. They also know that I will be called Mrs. Rusk next year..but they have never put 2 and 2 together...until recently. And a group of them were apparantly talking in their Co-op class about how in the world he got me. They just could not understand why I was dating Rylan...I had a talk with a few other teachers about it this morning and I had to laugh. I just thought to myself...boy if I were in high school...they'd be thinking 'How did she get him.'

We had State Testing yesterday and today and I helped proctor them. Therefore this afternoon, I have to be here but I don't have to teach...I will probably help decorate for prom for a little bit..which is always exciting! Rylan is gone Friday night and Saturday...I'll be sure to take some pictures at Prom Saturday night while I'm chaperoning to show everyone!

And It Has Finally Happened!

Rylan stayed in the house last night! We moved my bed in Saturday for him and went to Wal-Mart to get groceries. By the way..I am amazed that we spent $130 at WalMart and literally have nothing to show for it! CRAZY!! We moved Rylan's clothes and such in yesterday and he stayed at the house last night! How exciting!! We love our house! We have a lot to do on the outside this summer..but it will happen.

I went by Bill and Deb's to see August with her dress on last night..and I've never seen a child like this before..but apparantly..August absolutely hates to change clothes..unless it's after a bath or to put her pj's on. So Deb warned me that she would probably throw a fit before we would get the dress on her. And indeed..she did. It was so sad..she held on to her clothes to try to keep Deb from pulling them off of her...but we finally got the dress on her! We put her in front of the mirror and she just looked at herself and cried..so I decided to pretend like I was crying too..only louder than her. She stopped abruptly..looked at me and said "Amy you crying" It was so precious!! I almost really did cry from laughing so hard at her. Deb gave her a tissue to wipe her tears and then she wiped my tears..only she nearly shoved my eyeball into my head she was pushing so hard.

She finally looked in the mirror then and said "So pretty" and then ran out to show Bill and Rylan how beautiful she looked! Just another memory of August to file away in the books!

Easter Present

I came home Monday evening to find this wonderful little Easter Egg on the counter for me! I was so excited that I had to take a picture of it with the rest of mom's Easter Eggs. Thanks for the egg August!! Happy Easter and Happy Birthday to you!!..belated.

Painting Pictures

The painting is finished...and we have moved MOST of our stuff in...the house is pretty much decorated...filled with all of our stuff...and it is wonderful! We have had a TON of help with everything...from the painting...to the electrical work...to remodeling the kitchen(sorta)

We had 4 people in the hallway painting a few weekends ago. That's how bad we were ready to get the painting finished!
Ralph & Marilyn brought everyone lunch the day we painted all day. What had more help than we could keep busy.
