Tempted & Abused

So I've done SUPER good at eating well and working out now for 2 weeks. I'm back to where I was right before we got married..still have 8 pounds to go before I hit my first goal though. I have been filling myself with good fruits and veggies and whole grains during the day and getting my protein in at supper time. The other evening, Rylan comes in with a ButterBraid and wants to know if I want to have that for breakfast. I flipped out and told him that I have been doing so good and he has to ruin it by tempting me. Sooo..I have a small piece for breakfast and luckily did not gain any weight from the temptation. Then this morning...I'm going to the bathroom and he just finishes spraying his hair..puts the lid on his hair-spray..or at least he thinks he did. He picked up the bottle by the lid and acts like he's gonna toss it at me..and the body detached from the lid and it hit me in the forehead, right above my eye. AHHH!! I sorta wanted to cry but was laughing so hard that my eyes watered like they usually do anyways when I laugh hysterically. He felt SUPER bad..but we laughed about it and I told him that he had tempted me with sweets and abused me with a hair spray bottle this week. Funny stuff!

ERHS Graduation

Kristen's graduation was last Sunday. I looked a Rylan in the middle of it and said..this is probably the last time we'll attend a graduation at ERHS for a long time. Probably until our own kids go to school..how crazy is that!

Congrats Kristen!

Oh yes! She takes after her dad! Goofy as ever!

The first time walking out the front doors of ERHS as a graduate.

FFA Banquet

Rylan's FFA Banquet was last night. Everything went smoothly. I always love to go with him and be around the kids. They're such a close knit group of kids that know how to have a good time. They gave Rylan a plaque with a picture of the officer team on it..to hang with his others from year past.

And Rylan with his old President, Ashley Westall...and his new President, Steven Klingler. Both GREAT kids!!

Good Times

This past weekend, we had Erin's graduation party Saturday night at Bill & Deb's. It was great to get together with them and celebrate such an awesome accomplishment. Erin & I rarely get a chance to get together and enjoy a glass of wine. So this was a much needed time for us! And let me tell you..it was a night that we will remember forever!
It started off with matching shirts.

Then out came the 2 pounds of chocolate.

Next was a bottle of wine.
(Notice August's chocolate covered & filled mouth. She's gonna be JUST like us and our mothers!)

Some really cool Cat Woman glasses.

And a shot of MoonShine.
Oh yes..we did! We enjoyed that..can't you tell by our faces?!? HA!

I fought with August over her baby doll....

Then Erin & I shared a glass (or 5) of wine in our Cat Woman glasses.

Mom dressed August up..after she dressed herself up like this first though.

Then August colored me some pictures to hang on my fridge. I always love pictures from August.

Thanks Erin for a great memorable evening..with many laughs!

Test of Patience

So...............
This is what I had at my house last night for 2.5 hours!!
Appleseeds!!
A program for middle school girls through our church. It includes a bible study, crafts, a snack, manners, and prayer from 6-8:30ish. It really is a great program for the girls and I do enjoy spending this time with them. I jumped in this week with them because my classes finally ended on Thursday nights. I helped with the last group that we had and really had a good time with them! I was a little hesitant to have them all over to our house just because we are soooo cramped on space..and we had 8 girls and 5 adults..ahhhh! They did their bible study and I gave them all drinks..and I was freakin' out that they were going to spill their lemonade all over my table and carpet..but that went smoothly. Then they did snacks and manners..and let's just say that God must have sent them my way for a reason..to give me patience and to realize that nothing is ever bad enough to not be able to fix (OR CLEAN) it. Then they did crafts..and used hot glue guns!
Just to see all these cords and hot glue guns all over my table really freaked me out! So I put plates out ahead of time for them to put the glue guns on..some did..and some didn't. So I frantically..and as kindly as I could..reminded them to put the glue guns back on the plates when they were finished. They all gave me hugs and told me thanks for having them over and left. And I looked at my house..that was moments ago..very noisy, cluttered, and distracting. It was, what I would call, an absolute disaster! And I thought..how am I EVER going to clean all this up before 9 (my bedtime!!) So I carried my extra chairs downstairs..and put the hot glue covered plates in the sink. I wiped down the counters..and then my hot glue covered table. AHHHHH is right! I nearly wanted to cry when I wiped over it and found all those little bumps of glue! Luckily they chipped right off with the pressure of a fingernail though!
I took all 5 leaves out of my table and got the dining room back to normal..and then noticed this as it crumbled beneath my feet.
Oh yes! CRUMBS on my floor!! Not just here though..all over the dining room, kitchen, and entry way of the living room. I swept and vacuumed and got everything back to normal and sat on the couch and laughed at what had previously occurred. Me..freaking out about crumbs on my floors and hot glue on my table. When in all actuality..these are just petty little things that normal kids do..and I really should be thankful to have such great people in my lives..including children! I guess I just was only used to having August over..not 8 middle school girls!

3 Weeks & Counting

I have never been SOO ready for school to get out in my entire life!! Rylan and I both are ready to jump in the car and drive to Texas the day after we get out! We plan to spend a few days with Kyle Wade and Krista Robinson..then stay in San Antonio a few night. We are going to stop at Kyle and Krista's on the way home again, just to break up the drive a little.

In San Antonio, we are staying a the Inn on the Riverwalk. We are SUPER excited and cannot wait to see what San Antonio has in store for us! It is a much needed vacation!!
