Easter 2012

Our Easter morning began as usual. Sunrise service at 6:30..breakfast at church at 7:30..Sunday School at 8:30..and church service at 9:30. I love Easter Sunday and spending 4 hours at church with our wonderful church family..remembering the real reason that we celebrate Easter. We celebrate Jesus' resurrection..but we also need to remember what Jesus went through before he rose from the grave.

We had lunch at Jen's. McKenna and Braeda hunted for Easter eggs outside. We had supper at Randy & Julie's..played bags and let Braeda enjoy her new swing. It was definitely a beautiful day to be outside!

An Evening Stroll

We had supper at mom's last weekend and took a stroll down the road since it was so nice. You gotta love evenings in the Spring..except the bugs!

We're Almost Mobile

Braeda is growing so fast! She has started to get up on her hands and feet and do a plank. She also gets on her hands and knees, and then she rocks. She knows how to move her knees, but he hands just don't go with them..so she belly flops it. But she's getting there. If we leave her in the living room for too long..she'll roll over to the entertainment center and mess with the dvd/vcr player.

Italian Beef Night

We hosted our Italian Beef Night (last year it was Taco Night) at the Gypsy again this year to raise money for our American Cancer Society Walk & Roll team. We made 3 cookers full of homemade Italian Shredded Beef. It was fantastic and we had a great turnout! We sold out about 15 minutes before we had planned to stop serving, which was perfect. Thanks to all who helped make this night a success by donating time or ingredients, helping us serve, or by coming out and eating. (Note: Leslie was there...not sure why I don't have any pictures of her. We didn't have our photographer sitting at the bar for half of the evening photographing our every move like we did last year.)

Braeda's Baby Dedication

Braeda's Baby Dedication was about a month or so ago. Thanks to all of our family that came and supported our decision to raise Braeda in a Godly home and church..and thanks for celebrating with us as we dedicated her to the Lord. Below are some pictures from the day's events.

The Past Two Months In Review

I have been harrassed about posting on my blog. I never have time anymore to even paint my nails..let alone post on my blog! ;-)  So here is the past two months in a quick review! Enjoy all the pictures.

Erin with Erin Michels Photography and me with AR Photography. We had a booth at the Bridal Expo at The Holiday in Olney. We had fun..of course!! With the two of us (similar to our mothers) there is always laughter and chocolate to be had!

Braeda sat in her high chair for the first time a few weekends ago while Rylan and I ate breakfast. I had to tie her in with two of my scarves, but she definitely enjoyed it!

McKenna Grace and Braeda Lynn playing together. McKenna is beginning to enjoy Braeda more..as she has 'new' toys. McKenna would give Braeda the keys (in McKenna's hands)..then yank them away from her. She has a lesson to learn on sharing and she better learn quick. Braeda will whopp her one when she's able to. :)

 This is HYSTERICAL! Samantha put Fluffy (mom's wig) on McKenna! We nearly peed our pants! Obviously McKenna didn't find it as funny as we all did.

 Walked outside to this as we were all leaving mom's last Sunday. Such a pretty snow!

 The food begins! I have been pureeing peas, green beans, and carrots. So far, she's not a huge fan of the peas..but she loves the green beans. We will try carrots later this week. If you do not make your baby's food, you really should try! It is incredibly easy and extremely cheap!!

Mom's Surprise Birthday Party

Having 4 brains is better than one! After much contribution from each of us, mom's surprise birthday party was a success. There were so many things to worry about besides the planning..whether mom would be feeling better, if she'd fall for our excuse to get her to come up to the Gypsy, if the weather would cooperate, etc. But with all of us working together..I don't think we left anything out and we know mom's routine so well..that her Lovenox shot and alcohol swab were even remembered so she could take it that evening and stay on schedule with her medicines. We are good!!

The best surprise of the night was her getting to Skype with Dr. Goswami! He and Donita Schrey wanted to come for her party..but due to being such important people at their jobs..they had to stay in Springfield and work/be on call. However, we were excited that they would even consider coming. We were still excited that she was able to Skype with Dr. Goswami!! He's been FANTASTIC!!

We had a great time last night and thanks to everyone who showed up..even with the slick roads!! We know mom appreciated everyone being there!!
