Strange Things Happen...

When the camera gets turned on that is!
I was looking through my camera..trying to figure out which pictures to print from it for all of these random picture frames that I have from the wedding...needless to say..it has turned into an hour long ordeal..and I haven't even chosen any pictures to print yet! I'm too busy laughing at what happens when the camera gets turned on! And I've noticed that it's mainly when my mom has my camera! CRAZY!!

This was taken at the Gypsy after one of the wedding showers..what a fun night!!

Fair Comes and Goes

I must say that I am very excited that the Richland County Fair is over! I usually look forward it the events and enjoy watching them...and I was able to do that this year..with a little stress piled on top. I worked just under a 100 hours from July 3 - July 11...nine days total. One day..I worked 13.5 hours..how crazy is that!! I worked in the Fair Board Office taking entries and learning the ropes of the everyday things that must happen in order for the events and shows to happen and for people to get paid. It was very stressful..yet a ton of fun at the same time!

Since fair is over..that means school will start before I know it. To end our summer..Rylan, Jesse, and I are going to Gulf Shores, Alabama to The Beach Club the last week of July. We are staying for 3 nights, 4 days. Just a short vaca to relax and enjoy the last few days of summer that we have left. We're very excited and I'm glad Rylan finally convinced me to go. I was very skeptical about taking a 2nd vaca this summer..but since I worked at the fair for a stressful 9 days..and everyone tells us to take as many vacations by ourselves as we can now, while we don't have children..I decided that it would be a great stress reliever for us to go! So..a month and a half after our honeymoon..off to the beach we go again!

5 Years Already!

We had our class reunion Saturday evening at the Country Club. It just doesn't seem like we've been out of high school for 5 years! There was only about a third of our class there..but we got to see people that we hadn't seen in awhile. We had some good conversations..dancing..and way too many beverages. I didn't take my camera inside because I didn't want anything to happen to it..and I probably would have been the one to damage it that night! YIKES!
Below is a picture of Kate, me, and Krista Adams. We had a great time! I love these two!!

Kate is home for the week and she brought her Wii to leave at my house so I could try out the Wii Fit. Jesse and Kate came over Monday evening and played Mario..Rylan is definitely a little rusty on his video game skills!!

Fun with August

Rylan and I had August Friday morning through Saturday morning. We definitely had some good laughs at her..she says some of the funniest things!! Below are some pictures of the fun we had with her this past weekend. I took her to my Grandma Cummins' and we played with water balloons..climbed inside of a tunnel that I played in when I was little..danced on the swing's poles..and had a tea party...Oh the adventures at Grandma Cummins' house....

The look on her face is priceless!! She was so excited about the Dora cake..the "tea"..Strawberry Milk! :)..Oreo Straws..Animal Cookies...there was so much going on that she didn't know where to begin. So she sat at everyone's chair and played with their place setting..and then moved back to her own. This was definitely a new experience for all of us!

I was checking me email and August wanted to watch..so she sat on my lap..and every time I typed..she put her hands on the desk and moved her fingers like mine. I thought it was too cute! I love how she tried to immitate everything you do.

This was our entertainment for the evening..August and the harmonica! Too funny!

August always finds the random John Deere tractors around our house and plays with them..Rylan and I both rolled on the floor laughing at August as she tried to ride on the tractor!

Rylan's grandparents called and knew we had August Friday night..so they wanted us to bring her over for awhile so they could play with her...I think some people need some great-grandchildren!! HA!! When we got there..they had pulled every toy out that they could find and August had a blast playing with them. Then she discovered the piano and she loved it! Rylan and his grandma Marilyn both sat down next to her and played and she watched with amazement. Needless to say..Ralph and Marilyn both loved playing with her! We'll have to take her back there to play next time she comes to visit us.

Check out this kid's posture! Back straight..elbows in..she's a natural!!
