Wild & Crazy Weekend

This weekend was my bridal shower at the Claremont School. I received a LOT of very nice gifts and the shower was incredible! Kuddos to Erin! We got a little carried away taking pictures afterwards.....Oh the joys of Erin & Amy...and our mothers!!

Saturday evening we went uptown to the Gypsy with a bunch of family and friends. We had a GREAT time!!

I really don't remember who had the camera both times..but I do remember that it was always me, Erin, Deb, and Lisa Ruesch in the pictures. And there are about 20 of us being silly...at 2 different times!

The Gypsy has a wall upstairs that is covered with a chalkboard. We were looking for more entertainment and decided to find some chalk. We traced everyone we could..and made them look incredibly funny, of course. We also wrote our names all over the wall!
We got our keys to our house Sunday afternoon and started peeling wallpaper! We're gonna try to start painting the ceilings tonight! We can't wait to get it finished!!

We Love The Warmth

Mom and I have been walking outside a lot lately since it's been so warm. We walked last night with Lisa Ruesch and mom and I about killed her. It was her first day back to working out since last year and she nearly died. She'll catch up with us though if she sticks with it! As of this a.m...mom has lost 20 pounds total and I have lost 14. Holy crap!! I still have another 13 pounds to go till I get to my goal weight. But I have no doubt that I can do it!

I started doing Yoga with Abby that I worked with at CellOne. We try to walk together every Monday and Wednesday unless either of us have other plans. Then we do a 30 minute Yoga video by the lake on our Yoga mats. It is so calming and peaceful..right at dusk..the wind blowing the leaves and the lake..I love it! Talk about flexibility and elongating your muscles..Yoga does it for you!!

Paint Paint & More Paint

Rylan & I went to Effingham Saturday to get paint for our house. Needless to say...we came home with 16 gallons of paint and 8 different colors for 7 rooms in our house. We are so excited to get in and paint! We are getting a quote for flooring upstairs..definitely laminate in the kitchen and possibly hardwood in the dining, living, and hallway. We are hoping to get the keys Sunday afternoon so we can start ripping wall paper off in the kitchen that evening. We can not wait to get the keys..let alone get in and start painting. If you are a good painter...come join our paint party going on next week!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

So I get up this morning..knowing full well that it was St. Patrick's Day and that my mom would turn EVERYthing she possibly could to green. However, this time..she has taken green to an all new level. She put food coloring in the dog water and cat water... and even worse... the toilets! And yes mom..I did notice that the water in the toilet was green this morning! hehe...I just thought you were extremely strange at the moment for doing so and I wanted to pretend that you were slightly normal for a bit! Oh yes..and of course our milk was green. That is always expected! And therefore...my oatmeal this morning was green. But let me tell you..the crazy lady that I live with..the one that I call my mom..she did not even wear green today!! She is obsessed with turning everything green on St. Patrick's Day... but she didn't wear any?!? Hmm..there's a problem with that. I'm really suprised that she hasn't put green food coloring in our water well yet...honestly!

I can remember when we were little and the pancakes and eggs for breakfast would be green. We'd have green jello and mashed potatoes. Green milk and O.J. and Apple Juice and EVERYthing would be green! However...our milk used to go bad before we would finish it...I guess we thought that was a little extreme and that it looked really nasty. Oh well..I'm sure my children will say the same about me..because I know I will be as crazy as my own mother when it comes to St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone! I hope yours is as eventful and exciting as mine always is!

The Best Looking Bridal Party Ever!

Saturday was my Bridal Shower at the church. I got a TON of great stuff and will only have to return about 2 items! We had a good turnout...and all my bridesmaids and flower girls were there too! I must say that the picture clearly depicts how beautiful everyone in our bridal party is!

After the Bridal Shower, mom, Jen, Sheila, and I went to Vincennes to meet Erin, Deb, and August, and Julie, Hilary, and Kristen. The girls had to get fitted for their shoes..I had to try on my dress to see how I liked the whole bustling thing..and Julie needed to look at dresses. We had a great time and everyone got to see my dress!

Saturday evening, Bill, Deb, Erin, and August came over..along with the rest of my whole family and their boyfriends/fiances. We built a fire and cooked brats and smores on the fire. August was the life of the party..as usual! Doing anything and everything to get people to laugh!

Rylan..playing dolls with August.

Wedding Stuff Underway Again

We met several of the groomsmen and ushers at Fessel's Saturday morning to get fitted for their tuxes. It was a little crazy seeing all of these people getting fitted..it put everything into perspective and made me realize that we have less than 3 months before the wedding. AHH! Below is a picture of my Uncle Jon Cummins getting fitted for a jacket by Mary Kocher. He's walking me down the isle, along with Pat.

When we finished at Fessel's, Rylan and I headed to The Giving Tree at Effingham to get Raeleigh Rusk fitted for her dress. She was priceless! She wanted to try on all the dresses and she knew if the dress was too big and if something bothered her on the dress.

I cannot wait to get Raeleigh, August, Grayce, and Dane together to play! I know they will enjoy each other and get along just fine.
