Back At It & Still Goin' Strong

Mom and I are back at our good ol' walkin' & joggin' routine! 

Last Saturday we walked 6 miles with Lisa Ruesch. We've walked 4-5 miles every night this week. We are planning to walk 8 miles this Saturday. We'll have to get up plenty early so we don't have to walk in the heat of the day..but we're willing to sacrifice our sleep..well...sorta.. ;-) We are trying to work up to 13 miles. Yes..that seems like a lot to walk..but if you have a group you are walking and talking with..the miles really fly! I promise!

We'd like to plan a Ladies Half Marathon Walk(13.1miles) this Fall. Possibly in October..so the weather will be perfect then.We'll plan stops every 2-3 miles at someone's house to go to the bathroom, get a drink, and grab a power bar. Then we'll end at someone's house around lunchtime..eat grilled chicken and a nice big salad. We'd also like to have a cooler full of beverages and maybe some slushy drinks..and just have a nice little lunch party! If anyone is interested. Let me know!! We're thinking an entry fee of $25. This cost will cover food, drinks, and a t-shirt. This year will just be a trial run..but next year and every year after..we'd like to do this to benefit a cause or something. But......we'll see how this year goes first!!

You big dork. Salad and grilled chicken?!?!? After 13.1 miles there had better be a big ol' steak and potato lunch waiting! Love the graphic by the way...that's what I look like after chasing August around the farm.
